The average woman uses up to 15 beauty products each day (and gets over 500 potentially harmful petrochemicals and other nasties in the bargain). Nature’s Boutique helps you leave high-street cosmetics behind, with more natural beauty products that will keep you looking good on the outside – and feeling good on the inside.
Natural Skin Care
Our products don’t contain excess chemicals and preservatives. Parabens? Nope. Artificial colours or fragrances? Uh-uh. Sodium lauryl sulphate? Not a drop. Propylene glycol? Save it for the antifreeze, thanks.
Animal Testing
“You have to suffer to be beautiful.” We don’t believe that’s true – and animals shouldn’t have to suffer either. Most high-street cosmetics and beauty products are tested on animals or contain ingredients harvested from animals. We pledge to keep our products cruelty-free. They’re not tested on animals, and the brands we stock don’t pay third parties to do animal testing for them.
Vegetarian Products
Our founder Carrina Rowe is a vegan, so all our skincare products, cosmetics and eco fashion items are too. Lanolin? Verboten. Leather? No can do. Carmine? Forgeddabout it. Cosmetic brushes made from animal hair? I don’t think so! Many products are certified by the BDIH, Soil Association or the Vegan Society, giving clear proof no animals suffered to keep you in face cream.
Packaging
Our gorgeous gift boxes are 75% recycled content and our packing materials are 70% recycled and 100% recyclable.
“Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty" ~ Albert Einstein .
Ethical Policy
This statement outlines our primary ethical principles on how we conduct our business.
Nature’s Boutique believes that positive change is possible and we recognise that we have a role to play in the wider community and the environment. That's why we are committed to helping minimise environmental damage, improving animal welfare and supporting and working alongside local and other ethical traders and fair trade organisations. We actively care for the environment by making this at the forefront of our consideration when buying product supplies and materials.
Animal Welfare:
We have a very strict animal welfare policy. None of our products are tested on animals and none of our products contain animal ingredients. We do not believe in animals being used and exploited for our purposes so we make sure that our products reflect this by all being suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Suppliers:
We want to work with companies that share our ethical principles. We like to source local products and support British companies, which is why we have a ‘Made in the UK’ category. However, we also support and work with other ethical traders and fair trade organisations.
Products:
We source products that have less of an impact on our environment as well as being safer and kinder to our skin, body and hair. The products we sell use natural, organic ingredients and are all 100% cruelty-free. Some are Fairtrade and/or certified by different organisations including the Soil Association, Natrue, BDIH, BUAV, USDAW, ECOCERT etc., and all are free from parabens.
Socially responsible activities:
We are committed to improving our impact on the wider community and the environment, which is why we welcome all sponsorship, fundraising and volunteering opportunities both locally and nationally. We also want to help improve awareness of ‘green’ issues so if you have a cause or project you would like us to consider, please do get in contact. Email: info@naturesboutique.com
