Pacifica - the story behind the dream
Pacifica was founded by Brook Harvey Taylor. As a child, fascinated by her mother’s kitchen spices, she was later inspired by Tom Robbins’ novel “Jitterbug Perfume” and began experimenting with essential oils. However, it was while Brook was at college in Oregon, studying aromatherapy, that her love affair with natural perfumes really began.
The breakthrough came when she met Billy Taylor, a filmmaker for National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. Their combined talents and love of the great outdoors led to the creation of Pacifica, which really took off after Brook had the idea of turning some of her scents into candles.
Every candle, perfume and natural skin care product Pacifica makes is formulated using safe, natural, sustainable ingredients, with blends inspired by the couple’s travels. Pacifica’s skin care and natural products are fun and easy to wear, bringing a scent of far-off lands and fresh ocean air to your clothes and living room.
Pacifica – the inspiring power of fragrance, in a natural way
The Pacifica spray perfumes we stock at Nature’s Boutique are like none other you have ever experienced, with evocative names like Bali Lime Papaya; Brazilian Mango Grapefruit; French Lilac, Mediterranean Fig and Tuscan Blood Orange. Created with natural pure grain alcohol and essential oils, they involve no animal testing and are paraben and gluten-free.
The Pacifica range of Soy candles is even more extensive. Colourful, clean-burning, and made from pure soy wax and lead-free wicks, they include Waikiki Pikake, Pacific Red Ginger and Mexican Cocoa, as well as the Pacifica perfumes already mentioned. There’s also a range of perfumed natural products for skin care, in the form of moisturising body butters and bio-degradable vegetable soaps – all with Pacifica’s delicious signature perfume blends.
