Tips on using Naturtint products
Natural or alternative effects with Naturtint can be achieved in a number of ways. Naturtint is no different to using any other hair colourant - apart from its eco-friendly, cruelty-free aspects.
The first permanent hair colour to be manufactured without ammonia, resorcinol, silicone or parabens, Naturtint is nonetheless a highly effective natural hair care product, able to lighten up to two shades at a time - and cover 100% grey. Vegan friendly, and made with selected organic ingredients, Naturtint is enriched with coconut, soy, corn and wheat extracts, to add marvellous vitality and shine to the hair.
Every Naturtint natural beauty product we supply comes complete with Naturtint colourant and developer, Nutrideep Multiplier, instruction leaflet and protective gloves. As at the salon, there are many ways to apply your organic beauty product. For example foiling, where pieces of foil are used to separate hair, or capping, where hair is pulled through holes in a tight rubber cap, enable multiple shades to be applied. Balayage, where the dye is painted straight onto the hair, requires less skill.

Naturtint organic haircare – safety points
Naturtint Permanent Hair colourants are hypallergenic and undergo strict dermatological tests. However like our Natural skincare products, Naturtint contains no animal-derived ingredients and involves no animal testing.
Far more gentle than standard permanent hair colours, but just as effective, Naturtint is free from ammonia, silicone and other harsh chemicals. Those who have previously experienced itchiness or a rash with conventional hair colorants generally report no adverse effects with Naturtint natural cosmetics. However, Naturtint does contain one powerful essential ingredient – p-phenylenediamines, or PPDs. Found in all permanent (and some semi-permanent) hair colours, they add long-lasting colour but, in rare cases, may provoke a severe reaction such as swelling or blistering.
It is important to realise the levels of PPDs in Naturtint organic hair care products are minimal, and other harsh chemicals which could provoke a reaction, such as resorcinol, are totally absent. Nonetheless, it’s essential to carry out a skin sensitivity test at least 48 hours before Naturtint is applied. After this, it’s generally safe to continue. However, allergic reactions vary and some sensitive users may still suffer a reaction upon application. If this is the case, it’s likely they are allergic to PPDs, in which case a non-PPD alternative – such as Naturtint Reflex temporary hair colour – should be used.
